This band started out as a small band and Brian Warner a.k.a. Marilyn Manson, met many celebrities with whom later his band would be compared, like Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult!

The band has gained the status of a cult icon as it has influenced a very large section of he youth due to which it also, especially Marilyn Manson, has been surrounded by various controversies and scandals.

The list of former bands of this band is very large and is therefore not necessary over here.

The band had a rule of naming themselves with first name after a female sex symbol and the last name on a famous serial killer as in Marilyn Manson (Marilyn Monroe + Charles Manson). Though after the line-up began to change the newcomers did not follow the rule and kept their real names.

The lead man, Marilyn Manson, has been offered the title 'Reverend Manson' by Church of Satan founder Anton Lavey. Manson has a very big influence on the masses that he has a very strong cult following who propose anti-Christianity, sex, violence and drugs.

Marilyn Manson has also been sued many times for promoting his fans to have drugs and etc.

In spite of the controversies and scandals, it can't be denied that the band is one of the most successful and famous band in the history of music!

The band's appearance is very gothic and grotesque at the same time. They wear 'weird' costumes and a very pale make-up.

The band is also producing a movie on Lewis Caroll's visions which has been directed, written and produced by Marilyn Manson and also features him in the movie as Lewis Caroll. The movie's name is Phantasmagoria : Visions Of Lewis Caroll.

The band is one of my favourites and no matter what it does or gets into, the band has been giving us music that is fresh out of the oven! Music should be heard to and not obeyed to!
