This band started out as a small band and Brian Warner a.k.a. Marilyn Manson, met many celebrities with whom later his band would be compared, like Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult!

The band has gained the status of a cult icon as it has influenced a very large section of he youth due to which it also, especially Marilyn Manson, has been surrounded by various controversies and scandals.

The list of former bands of this band is very large and is therefore not necessary over here.

The band had a rule of naming themselves with first name after a female sex symbol and the last name on a famous serial killer as in Marilyn Manson (Marilyn Monroe + Charles Manson). Though after the line-up began to change the newcomers did not follow the rule and kept their real names.

The lead man, Marilyn Manson, has been offered the title 'Reverend Manson' by Church of Satan founder Anton Lavey. Manson has a very big influence on the masses that he has a very strong cult following who propose anti-Christianity, sex, violence and drugs.

Marilyn Manson has also been sued many times for promoting his fans to have drugs and etc.

In spite of the controversies and scandals, it can't be denied that the band is one of the most successful and famous band in the history of music!

The band's appearance is very gothic and grotesque at the same time. They wear 'weird' costumes and a very pale make-up.

The band is also producing a movie on Lewis Caroll's visions which has been directed, written and produced by Marilyn Manson and also features him in the movie as Lewis Caroll. The movie's name is Phantasmagoria : Visions Of Lewis Caroll.

The band is one of my favourites and no matter what it does or gets into, the band has been giving us music that is fresh out of the oven! Music should be heard to and not obeyed to!

There's not much to write about them. Their line-up has changed a lot. They started out forming the band in 1992, but, finally brought it out front in November 1995.
The band's name was suggested by Joey Jordison and the band started experimenting with their image by trying out a lot of things like wearing grotesque masks. They have also designed special leather masks for their fans called 'Maggot Masks' worn by the girl in the video 'Vermilion Pt. 1'.

The former members of the band were :

Brian "Head" Welch - Guitars (1993 - 2005)
David Silveria - Drums (1993 - 2006)

Korn formed after L.A.P.D. folded, and Reignald, James and David wanted to continue. They recruited Brian Welch and named their band, Creep. In 1993, the band took notice of Jonathan Davis, then performing in Sexart, and tried to get him into Creep. Jonathan at first did not want to join the ban, but, after consulting a psychic he appeared for the auditions. He was recruited and the band changed their name to Korn.

The band had its nine consecutive debuts in the Top Ten of the Billboard 200.

System Of A Down

This is one of my favourite bands!

With this band's compositions I started listening to metal and other similar genres.

The band was formed by the former members of, now disbanded, Soil; Serj and Daron. The name was thought of as 'Victims Of The Down', which was inspired by the title of one of Daron's poems. But, Shavo, then manager of the band, recommended changing the 'Victims' by "System'. Afterwards, Shavo also joined in as their bassist.

SOAD, as their also known as, have had three of their studio albums attain the peak position of #1 in the U.S. Billboard, namely Toxicity, Mezmerize and Hypnotize. And all of their albums have got the platinum status with Toxicity getting a three times platinum status! Their discography is as follows:

One of my friends has one space over here already, so, I got an idea of starting my own blog.
